Great Egret In Flight . . . this guy was strolling down the trail just a little way in front of me. All of the sudden (very unexpectedly) he took flight. It was so quick I really expected a very blurry image . . . but, I managed to capture a decent pic! . . . Many of my favorite childhood days were spent in Polk County when my grandparents lived in a small town most people have never heard of . . . Brewster, Florida. Brewster was a small company owned mining town in the heart of the Florida phosphate and citrus industry. It broke my heart when the town was shut down and disappeared forever. It is now labeled as a Florida ghost town. It's those kind of memories that led me to fall in love...
